But it's more than that too!

[Diarmuid's voice might be confident, but there is some uncertainty in her eyes.]

If it was just that, everyone would be a hero because people do the right thing all the time.

[She scratches her head.]

Well...heroes do the right thing even when it's hard. It's because they do more than anyone else. It's because they accomplish more than anyone else can.

[Diarmuid looks away.]

Of course. They're heroes too.

[Diarmuid looks down, blushing.]

I would summon Oscar if I could... Any of them really, but he would be...

...Do you think we can have Saber's Master do it? She's a weak magus, but a magus nonetheless.

[Diarmuid actually looks hopeful for a moment before her expression falls and she shakes her head.]

No. As you say, she is a weak magus and she already has a servant to take care of. It would not be right to ask.

Huh...then I guess I might be able to do it. It's not my specialty, though.

It's all right. It was a silly thing to hope for.

[Diarmuid seems disappointed, but at the same time she doesn't seem to want to cause anyone else any trouble for such a selfish thing.]

Besides, it's not like we have something specific to summon him with. I wouldn't want to go through all of this and then have us call the wrong person. Maybe if I could do the summoning, I could call him without any relic because of how close we were, but...

Non-existent. I could never be called as a Caster like you could. It's funny. I grew up surrounded by magic, but I can't use it naturally. The closest I come is the magical abilities of my weapons and that hardly counts.

Well, then, I guess I'll take care of the summoning. Otherwise, you'd tire out.

[She looks down at the table.]

I just...miss him sometimes.

...I miss all my friends too. Too bad we can't summon all of them in one big go.

[She shuts her eyes for a moment.]

Why should I get him back when so many others can't get back those they miss?

[She falls silent and ponders the question for a second.]

Maybe...but do you think he would want to come back?

[She pauses and then laughs.]

Oh, listen to me. You'd think I didn't want to actually see him again... I really need to work on this 'it's okay to be selfish' thing.

[She raises a hand to fluff Diarmuid's hair.]

That's okay. One step at a time.

[Diarmuid laughs and tries to duck away from the hair fluffing. She then gives Cu Chulainn a more serious look.]

Would it be Ferdiad who you'd call back or is there someone else you would pick?

Ferdiad would be my first choice. I don't know how many others of my family would have been heroes. Though, it would be awesome if I could get Emer.
