[Diarmuid smiles as Waver pulls away. He then taps him on the nose.]

Am I complaining? Really the only thing you lack is confidence. That's a big part of it, you know. Catching someone by surprise and taking control goes a long way.

You have plenty of confidence when you are at the Tower and you take control all the time when it comes to your students. All you have to do is apply those things to kissing. Is it really that hard to do?

B-because...because that's not the same thing! Teaching's simple because I know everything about what I'm doing. Th-this isn't...even if I did have enough experience in this, kissing someone and giving a lecture on magical theory are completely different!

[Diarmuid cups Waver's head in his hand.]

You know me better than that. I would never laugh at you about something like that and I would certainly not tell anyone else! These moments are ours and ours alone.

[Diarmuid pulls him closer, trying to settle Waver against his chest.]

[He curled up against Diarmuid's chest, hiding his face in the knight's shoulder.]

[Diarmuid reaches up and strokes Waver's hair comfortingly.]

Did you stop to think that maybe this affected your emotions just as much as it affected your body? I wouldn't be surprised if it did. So don't worry so much. It will be okay.

If there is one thing I have learned about you, it's that you are terribly biased when it comes to your own worth. You are just going to have to trust me when I say I think you are completely worth it.

Of course! I'm pretty set in my ways when it comes to certain things and that is one of those things. You are more than worth any trouble you bring my way.

[He paused for a long few seconds, thinking that over. Waver glanced away, for a moment looking like he might suddenly break down into tears for some reason...]

[...then threw his arms around Diarmuid's shoulders for a very sudden and very grateful kiss.]

[How's that for surprise?]

[Breaking news: Waver can be taught!

To say the kiss surprises Diarmuid would be an understatement, but as his surprise fades, he can't help but smile into it. He relaxes, and returns it happily, allowing Waver the chance to lead the way should he wish to take that bit of advice as well.]

[He pulled back a little less suddenly that time, bright red with embarrassment but smiling regardless.]
