Edit: Closing this one out for now. Please put all new threads here! Thanks! Fifth verse same as the first... It's new 'Call Me Out" Time!
【the ❝CALL ME OUT❞ meme】 V a roleplay meme to inspire muses.
♛ refer to the list above for active muses. ♛ post "calling" one of them out — you can do so by putting their name journal in the subject line! (I have too many Lancers to just go by name! X.x ) ♛ can be informal/formal/comment spam/crosscanon/explicit/whatever tickles your fancy! ♛ feel free to make up a scenario at the start, or wait to see where things go.
It did hurt. A lot. He...had a very rough few days.
[Diarmuid could tell Waver more, but he doesn't want to scare him unnecessarily.]
We worried he might even burn the crest and his circuits out with it all coming back at once, but hopefully since you are ten years younger it won't be so hard on you.
You're right. You're you, not him, but that doesn't mean I still can't believe in you.
[Diarmuid's voice is gentle as he speaks.]
He actually tells me often that it's kind of frustrating how much I believe in him, but I can't stop myself from believing the best of people. You will have to forgive me.
[A concerned look fills his eyes.]
Do you want me to see you back to your room to rest after all?
You're...you're the same with me. It's been nothing but irritating.
[Waver switched gears in a second to clear anger, though how much of that demeanor was genuine could be up for debate.]
Don't look at me like that. I don't need anyone falling all over themselves to believe in or follow my every word, and I don't need anyone taking care of me. Don't look at me like I'm some pitiful thing, and just leave me alone.
[He turned sharply and started to storm off, temper having been set off by something incredibly minor.]
Since when... [Waver shrank back, looking far more like a scared teenager than he would have liked.] ...s-since when are you the one telling me what to do?!
Since I'm the one tall enough to pick you up and dangle you like a bad puppy?
[He sounds serious for all of a second before laughing.]
Again, blame your elder self. I discovered I kind of like this partner thing he insisted on, and sometimes that means being the one to tell someone else what to do instead of just doing as you are told.
Well, the look in his eyes sometimes when he is upset with me suggests he would dangle me if I were a few inches shorter, so I have no doubt he would dangle you as well. As for the first one...
[Diarmuid shrugs.]
If you really want to know that, you will have to ask him about it. Everyone deserves to have a few secrets and I'm letting him keep that one.
Just because you are versions of the same person, doesn't make you the same person. However, it is likely he will have insights to you that others won't. No one will make you meet him or the other Waver, though.
No matter how much they might like to have your help with that hell chicken...

It...would hurt.

[Diarmuid laughs.]
I am sure you can survive it too. Have some faith in yourself. I promise. It won't kill you.
no subject
I can't...there's no way I could handle pain like that.
no subject
Can I tell you a secret? He kept saying that and still made it. Believe me. If he did, you can too.

[Waver trailed off, shoulders taking on a slight tremble.]
I w-want this day to just be over...

Waver Velvet....are you really going to make me scruff you?
[Rider impersonation coming in three...two...one...]

I am frustrating and irritating. Try me.
no subject
...you wouldn't, right?

[Diarmuid crosses his arms over his chest, fingers drumming on one arm.]
Are you going to stop acting like a child and start acting like a master again?

He's taller than I am now. How that happened is something I really would like to know...

That you grew so tall or that your other self would dare dangle you?

[Crossing his arms, Waver frowned.]
I don't want to talk to him. Why should I? For all we know, we're not even the same person.

[Diarmuid shakes his head.]
