Edit: Closing this one out for now. Please put all new threads here! Thanks! Fifth verse same as the first... It's new 'Call Me Out" Time!
【the ❝CALL ME OUT❞ meme】 V a roleplay meme to inspire muses.
♛ refer to the list above for active muses. ♛ post "calling" one of them out — you can do so by putting their name journal in the subject line! (I have too many Lancers to just go by name! X.x ) ♛ can be informal/formal/comment spam/crosscanon/explicit/whatever tickles your fancy! ♛ feel free to make up a scenario at the start, or wait to see where things go.
Since I'm the one tall enough to pick you up and dangle you like a bad puppy?
[He sounds serious for all of a second before laughing.]
Again, blame your elder self. I discovered I kind of like this partner thing he insisted on, and sometimes that means being the one to tell someone else what to do instead of just doing as you are told.
Well, the look in his eyes sometimes when he is upset with me suggests he would dangle me if I were a few inches shorter, so I have no doubt he would dangle you as well. As for the first one...
[Diarmuid shrugs.]
If you really want to know that, you will have to ask him about it. Everyone deserves to have a few secrets and I'm letting him keep that one.
Just because you are versions of the same person, doesn't make you the same person. However, it is likely he will have insights to you that others won't. No one will make you meet him or the other Waver, though.
No matter how much they might like to have your help with that hell chicken...
[That reaction earns a raised eyebrow from Diarmuid.]
You are right. I shouldn't tease about such things, should I? It's probably still in here, but you are totally safe because it only plots against the innocent and as the one who sacrificed it, you are certainly not innocent...
[Diarmuid's expression falls, good humor suddenly gone. He's learned to read the subtle changes in his Waver's mood over time and this isn't even that subtle so it doesn't really even matter that this isn't his Waver...]

[Diarmuid laughs, placing a hand a short distance above his own head to indicate height.]
He's taller than I am now. How that happened is something I really would like to know...

[A smirk turns up the corner of his mouth.]
That you grew so tall or that your other self would dare dangle you?

[More like he won't tell, but...]

[Crossing his arms, Waver frowned.]
I don't want to talk to him. Why should I? For all we know, we're not even the same person.

[Diarmuid shakes his head.]

What chicken.

[Diarmuid sighs, putting his head in his hands.]
The Tower gave the younger one back a chicken that he used in his summoning ritual. They both keep acting like it's demon-possessed or something...
no subject
[Waver immediately went tense again, rolling up his right sleeve to show bandaged and healing scratches scattered about his forearm.]
That damned thing tried to take my arms off!
no subject
Well...if someone was trying to sacrifice you for a magical rite, wouldn't you fight back?
[Okay, so that is probably a little unfair and the twinkling in his eyes makes it clear he knows it, but...]

[Diarmuid laughs, giving in since there is no point to arguing a point he can't win.]
He put it into the trunk of a man who has caused us a fair amount of trouble so it could torture him. Does knowing that help any?

[Diarmuid frowns.]
I wonder where it is now. They haven't said anything about it lately...

Perhaps it found a way to escape the Tower and didn't tell any of us out of spite? Now it roams free to terrorize others at will...
[That is probably...not helping any.]
no subject
[Not that he thinks it's possible. Oh no, that would be silly.]

[That jumped the track a while ago and wrecked, but...]
But don't worry. As I promised your older self, I will protect you to the best of my abilities should it change its mind. No chicken will defeat me!

[Waver actually began to look downcast at that, but didn't say anything for or against the sentiment.]

What is it? Did I say something wrong?
