Again, blame your elder self. I discovered I kind of like this partner thing he insisted on, and sometimes that means being the one to tell someone else what to do instead of just doing as you are told.

Well, the look in his eyes sometimes when he is upset with me suggests he would dangle me if I were a few inches shorter, so I have no doubt he would dangle you as well. As for the first one...

If you really want to know that, you will have to ask him about it. Everyone deserves to have a few secrets and I'm letting him keep that one.

[Crossing his arms, Waver frowned.]

I don't want to talk to him. Why should I? For all we know, we're not even the same person.

Just because you are versions of the same person, doesn't make you the same person. However, it is likely he will have insights to you that others won't. No one will make you meet him or the other Waver, though.

No matter how much they might like to have your help with that hell chicken...

The Tower gave the younger one back a chicken that he used in his summoning ritual. They both keep acting like it's demon-possessed or something...

Well...if someone was trying to sacrifice you for a magical rite, wouldn't you fight back?
