Take your time.
[He continues scanning the area, walking in a protective circle around her when he needs to move. This is one of those times where he really wishes he had more magical abilities. Perhaps then he could help her. Unfortunately, he does not.]
If there is anything I can do, just say it.
no subject
I-I...
[She moans again.]
P-pull me up.
no subject
[Diarmuid reaches down to help her up, making sure to continue to keep his eyes open so that they both aren't caught by surprise. Once she is on her feet, though, he doesn't let go. He's not sure if she should be standing at all at the moment and almost positive she would fall without some kind of support.]
Don't rush yourself. We may not have a lot of time, but for the moment we have time.
no subject
[Or at least, she can't sense it here. However, since the Servant in question is Assassin, it could cover itself with Presence Concealment.]
We're...too close. Why doesn't it...show?
[She clenches her sword. She's sure she can manage one more burst just for today and take Assassin's head.]
no subject
[Diarmuid's head turns as he hears a sound, eyes narrowing.]
I grow tired of these tricks!
[The words are less for Saber and more for whoever might be watching.]
Show yourself!
no subject
...Dammit!
[She raises an arm to block.]
no subject
Now we know why he remains hidden. Obviously, he's so weak that he cannot fight a servant face to face. It is why he has been hiding behind his master this whole time. Such a coward we waste our time on...
no subject
Of course. He's but an Assassin. If he had courage, he would have been summoned as something else.
no subject
Either Assassin is very fast or...]
He may not be alone. Cowards only attack in packs, right?
no subject
[She clears her throat to call out to Assassin.]
What's wrong? Can't even work by yourself? Do you need a magus' pets to keep you company?
no subject
[Diarmuid's voice becomes quieter so that only Saber can hear.]
...his master himself. Nothing more dangerous than a master and a servant actually working together as a team...
no subject
[Her fingers dig into his shoulder, angry both at Assassin's trick and the fact that she had not sensed it.]
no subject
[His eyes scan the area even though he doesn't expect to find anything considering it is Assassin they are facing.]
We need to draw him out of hiding. Sitting here and swatting at daggers all day will get up nowhere.
no subject
L-leave that to me.
[She mentally screams at her limbs to move. To strike at the attackers.]
no subject
[Diarmuid reaches for her not sure if he will be in time to stop her from triggering her ability again. She has already tired herself so much. To continue to do so with their enemy so close to take advantage of her weakness is suicide.]
We must think of a different way!
no subject
no subject
[Diarmuid spears suddenly both disappear from his hands. As they do, his voice drops to barely a whisper. One Saber might even have a hard time hearing and Assassin most certainly won't hear.]
We give them a target they can't help but attack.
no subject
[Saber hisses back at him.]
no subject
[Diarmuid purposely turns his back in the direction that the knives had come from, though his eyes remain locked with Saber's.]
I trust you to watch my back and I am less tired at the moment than you are. Now...appear to argue with me, please. Lets see how easily they can be led into the foolish thought that we are so caught up in a fight amongst ourselves that we have forgotten them.
no subject
THAT'S YOUR FUCKING PLAN?
[It was screamed in the loudest voice that Mordred could put forth at the moment.]
[Yes, fighting is something that comes naturally to the two of them.]
no subject
What is wrong with it? It's a perfectly logical plan! I don't see you offering a better one.
[Though his voice isn't as loud as hers, it is obvious he is holding back his own anger.
Or at least, that is what he wants Assassin and his master to think.]
no subject
It's fucking stupid, that's what!
no subject
[Diarmuid hears a soft movement behind him and has to force himself not to turn to look at it. It's harder than he expects since his battle instincts are screaming at him to move.]
Well? Spit it out or just admit I'm better at this than you are!
no subject
G-get out of my way first! Let me do as I want and then I'll tell you the plan!
no subject
[It's motion to his left that catches his eyes this time and again forces him to fight his own instincts, but he can't slip up now. Not when it seems like their opponents are falling for the trick.]
