[Sighing, Waver reached over and took a few pillows from the pile that had once been a recognizable Servant.]

Come on,idiot--you can show me how to build this thing.

[Oh gods, he really is two...]

Well...first we have to build the walls and then...

[Diarmuid suddenly drops all the pillows he is carrying except for one and turns to hit Waver with it.]

...pillow fight!

[Aaaaand he's down for the count, so completely thrown off that he has no idea how to react.]

[Waver will just be here on the floor for a minute.]

[Well...that's not quite what he expected. Now, granted, Diarmuid has never had a pillow fight before himself, but what he has been told didn't go like this.

He looks down at Waver, quizzically.]

I...take it you don't have any more experience with a pillow fights than I do...

What in god's name was that for?

It's kind of like a game... You know, a battle, only with pillows.

[Diarmuid suddenly seems unsure.]

The girls made it sound like a lot of fun...

I'm pretty sure that's more of a thing reserved for teenage girls.

Is it? I thought practice battles were things anyone could enjoy...

[Diarmuid looks at the pillow and then shrugs, dropping down to his knees and then starting to lay out the pillows in a rough square shape.]

All right. Fort building time!

[Waver sat up and crossed his arms, apparently intending just to watch and see how Diarmuid was going to handle this.]

[Once he has the shape laid out, Diarmuid starts piling up pillows to be the back wall of their fort. However, he seems to notice he is the only one working and turns to Waver with a pout.]

Aren't you going to help me?

Do I look like some kind of cushion architect? I wouldn't know how.

[Diarmuid rolls his eyes.]

You pick up a pillow and put it on the stack like so.

[He demonstrates with the pillow in his hand.]

That is...unless you want to build the moat...

We're not putting a moat of any sort in my apartment.

[Diarmuid shakes his head and then points toward the bedroom they share.]

There are two blue blankets in the closet. That is what I was going to use.

...I suddenly feel compelled to ask where you learned this particular pastime.

I had five children. Where do you think I learned it?

[Diarmuid shrugs.]

Besides, I like building things. Wood or pillows, it doesn't really matter to me.

Well, suppose that's a point I can't really argue. Do you want me to get those blankets, or can I be of any use here?

If you would grab them, please. Also grab one more. We will need it for the roof...

[Pillows...just don't make a very good roof. Trust him.]

[Waver got up and walked into the next room, returning with a pile of blankets.]

[When he returns, Diarmuid is sitting next to a fallen wall with a look of concentration on his face. Looks like building has hit a snag.]

Why won't you balance like the other one? It's not like there is a big bump in you or anything...

...Are we having a problem?

Yeah... For whatever reason, this pillow won't sit right and is causing instability in the whole wall. Every time I get a few pillows up on it, it collapses.

[Doesn't he sound way too into this? It's almost cute, really...]

Oh, dear. What are we going to do about that?

I don't know. I could switch pillows, but none of the others fit this spot very well.

[Diarmuid runs a hand through his hair.]

There has got to be something that doesn't require me taking apart the other walls to switch those pillows...
