While that's a valid course of action to take in screwing me over, consider my status and position versus this incredibly basic apartment.

You could hire a production studio and I'd probably still manage to afford it without an issue.

[Diarmuid laughs and gestures dismissively.]

I wouldn't want a production crew. It would take all the fun out of it and while you might be oblivious when you are focused, I don't think even you would miss a production crew sneaking about. They aren't very stealthy.

...Somehow I feel like you may be purposely missing the point of my statement.

[Diarmuid flashes Waver an innocent smile.]

Come now, would I do something like that?

Yes. Yes you absolutely would.

[Diarmuid laughs.]

Yes, I would and you know what else I would do? Distract us from the topic at hand with a completely different topic. If you have all that money, why do we live in such a small place? Not that I mind, but haven't you ever wanted something bigger?

[Sigh.] I was living on my own when I got it. I didn't see any reason to get someplace bigger, and since you never seemed to object I didn't think you minded it all that much either.

I honestly don't mind. I was just curious since a lot of people dream of having a large home, but you have never mentioned it.

I guess it's just not really something I need. Between here and my office I have enough room for anything like that.

[Waver shrugged, not too concerned by his rather simplistic apartment.]

[He smiles for a moment before his eyes take on something of a soft, almost distant, look.]

I guess sometimes I just think it might be nice to have room to do a few more of the things normal people do to relax.

[Yes, Waver. Even with all that has to be done, he's still trying to find ways to keep you from working yourself to death.]

But then I think of how stupid that is since we aren't normal and soon enough we will probably be on the run...

[Sighing, he crossed his arms--a thoughtful look crossed Waver's face as he seemed to consider something.]

How about this? If we manage to both survive and get away with all this near-suicidal shit I'm planning, then I'll find us somewhere a little more suitable.

[Diarmuid smiles a little sheepishly. Maybe he likes the idea of them getting a bigger house a little more than he originally thought.]

That...would be nice. It would be a good way to reward ourselves for a job well done. What would you like to see in the house?

I don't really know. What do you think would work?

[Diarmuid grins at him for a moment making it seem like that is the only answer he is going to give. After that moment though, he continues.]

I would not mind if the house was near some woods. My homestead had woods behind it and a small stream that flowed through it. It would be nice to have that again as a place to walk and just relax away from others. Do you think you would like spending time there with me?

[Obviously, Waver is not one of the 'others' that Diarmuid wants to be away from.]

As long as I'm with you, I could be comfortable in even the worst of places.

[Waver considered this for a minute or two, thinking over where he could find a place like that--surprisingly, it didn't sound too difficult.]

I think I can manage that easily. There's more places like that around here than one would think.

Really? Would it really be that easy?

[Hope and no small bit of excitement enter his eyes.]

I would really like to show you how beautiful a place like that can be. Somehow I can't imagine you have had the chance to spend a lot of time in places like that, have you?

[A smile twitched across his face as Diarmuid spoke--apparently the enthusiasm was contagious.]

Not a lot of time, no--I did do some traveling a few years ago, but other than that most of my life's been spent in this general area here.

[Diarmuid shakes his head.]

That won't do. You should travel more.

[By the sound of it, Diarmuid has traveled more than Waver has and he had be stuck on an island...without modern transport to take him places.]

Maybe besides getting the house we can do some traveling too? Visit some of those places we've always wanted to?
