Edit: Closing this one out for now. Please put all new threads here! Thanks! Fifth verse same as the first... It's new 'Call Me Out" Time!
【the ❝CALL ME OUT❞ meme】 V a roleplay meme to inspire muses.
♛ refer to the list above for active muses. ♛ post "calling" one of them out — you can do so by putting their name journal in the subject line! (I have too many Lancers to just go by name! X.x ) ♛ can be informal/formal/comment spam/crosscanon/explicit/whatever tickles your fancy! ♛ feel free to make up a scenario at the start, or wait to see where things go.
[When Diarmuid sees Waver asleep at the desk, an annoyed, though fond look crosses his face. He scans the area to make sure there are no monsters around--he does not want a repeat of what happened with him and Edgeworth that night several months ago--and then motions for Lancer to wait while he steps forward and lightly lays a hand on Waver shoulder.]
Mo Stór, you need to wake up. There is someone here who wants to see you.
Hm--what? [Waver straightened up and pressed a hand to his face, trying dazedly to shake off exhaustion and wake up properly.] Sorry...I was working late again. Did you say something?
Right--what is it now? [Waver stood up and untied his ponytail long enough to straighten out his hair before re-securing it.] Please tell me it's someone else for a research team, I feel like they're dropping like fucking flies.
Wouldn't hurt to be too cauti...ous... [Waver trailed off as he glanced over, hands lowering from his hair and dropping to his sides.]
Are you--Diarmuid, is that--...
[Lancer cautiously approached, managing a faint half-smile as he answered.] ...You're taller than me now. I never could have guessed that would happen.
[An amused, but joyous smile crosses Diarmuid's face as he steps back slightly, motioning for the two of them to stop acting like the other had cooties or something.]
Yes, this one is yours. Go greet him properly, idiot.
[Waver glanced to Diarmuid as if expecting clearer guidelines on what was and wasn't acceptable (this was something of an awkward situation when one got down to it). Hearing nothing else, he cleared his throat and walked forward himself, trying to keep some measure of composure. Lancer opened his mouth to speak with a look that suggested he was about to launch into a list of apologies for one reason or another--recognizing that look when he saw it, Waver put his arms around the Servant's shoulders and hugged him tightly.]
It's good to see you again.
Wh-...? I--Master, what are you...?
[Lancer, meanwhile, was nowhere near accustomed to this level of affection from any Waver.]
[Diarmuid raises a hand to cover his mouth. He's trying hard not to laugh at the expression on his double's face. He knows that feeling. He's been there. Been there and is glad that Waver gave into the urge to hug Lancer. That first hug way back in the Meadow had done so much for Diarmuid. It needed to happen now too, but it hadn't been his place to say 'hug him you, fool.']
I hope you understand now that I was speaking the truth. You aren't a failure or a burden to him. And if you don't listen, Waver I give you full permission to hug the hell out of him until he does. I would really rather it not take him as long as it took me to get a few simple truths through his head.
Was he going through all that again? [Frowning, Waver pulled back and gave the very confused Lancer an admonishing poke to the forehead.] Idiot. I'm going to have to deal with two of you now,I hope you both appreciate this.
I feel as though perhaps I missed a great many things somewhere.

[Diarmuid's expression becomes guilty for a moment and then he brushes it off as well as he can.]
I am sure he will make you a set as well if you would like so that you have something to fall back on. Just ask him.
no subject
I would not wish to trouble him for anything.

[Diarmuid shakes his head.]
He knows you better than you think he does. Sometimes, I think he knows me better than I do.
my excuse that time is i wasn't wearing my glasses
Perhaps he just has experience in dealing with us.
Uh hu...right. Whatever you say... :-P
[Diarmuid laughs softly.]
I like to think for the better, but he is the one who has had to put up with us so much. We should ask him, don't you think?
[And try for one of those famous Waver overreactions to a question. It's been a while...]
YEAH WELL IT'S GONNA BE INTENTIONAL SHORTLY
...Maybe we should, yes.
[Sure enough, Waver's definitely in the laboratory...and as per usual he's slumped over his desk asleep.]
LOL!
Mo Stór, you need to wake up. There is someone here who wants to see you.

[Diarmuid reaches up and brushes a few stray bangs away from Waver's face.]
There is a new arrival who would very much like to talk to you once you wake up. Gather your genius, Genius.

[Diarmuid motions toward the doorway where he left his double standing.]
It's a familiar face, though. Maybe he can be taught?

[Diarmuid's expression grows more serious as he turns to the other servant.]
You have, but hopefully, most of it is stuff we can avoid having you go through as well. Just listen to what we--
[He pauses and the points at Waver.]
--listen to what he says. He knows what he's talking about even if it is hard to believe what he says sometimes.
