[He gets up and goes into the fridge again. After a while, he cries out.]

Brother! Come! Look at these!

[Diarmuid sets down the leaf he is drying off and his towel, then runs over to join his brother at the magic cold box.]

What did you find?

Look! Look!

[He gestures at...a head of cabbage.]

What is that?

[smallspot]

It is a big bunch of leaves!

[Diarmuid practically crawls into the box and pulls the head of cabbage out. It's nearly as big as his whole head.]

Wow...all those leaves... Is there a tree hidden inside?

[beforetights]

I don't know what's inside.

[He stares at the leaves.]

Maybe the fairies made it to hide something?

[smallspot]

Oh! Maybe!

[Diarmuid's eyes get wide.]

Do you think we should look? Do you think they will get made if we do?

Well, if we put it all back to the way it used to be, they won't get mad, right?

[He's already peeling off a leaf.]

[Diarmuid plays with a leaf edge, but doesn't pull it back.]

Do you think they might have left it for us because we were so nice when we asked to take the other leaves?

Maybe they did.

[He sniffs at the cabbage.]

It certainly smells better than the other leaves.

[Diarmuid nods and bravely tears off a corner of one of the leaves, tasting it.]

Eh... It still doesn't taste very good, but it's better than the other leaves!

[Cu Chulainn pops some in his mouth as well.]

Yeah, it tastes just a little better. It's still weird, though.

[Diarmuid nods and finally starts peeling some leaves back.]

I wonder why anyone would want to eat that when they can have meat instead? Are they out of meat?

Maybe it's to feed the fish? Or the cows if they have them?

Ewww...

[Diarmuid makes a face and looks down at the leaves.]

Did we really eat cow food?

[He pretends to gag.]

At least we didn't eat too much of it.

[A worried look crosses Diarmuid's face.]

We won't turn into cows now will we? I like being a boy!

[He drops the cabbage and hug his arms around himself.]

I-I don't wanna be a cow either!

[He shivers.]

What if we turn into cows and people wanna eat beef?

We hide?

[The boy shakes his head, dark hair flying.]

That wouldn't work very well. Cows are hard to hide! But...I don't feel any different. Do you? Maybe you have to eat a lot to turn into a cow!

Then let's not eat anymore. Let's just burn it. Quickly.

[He shivers again. Partly from fear and party from the cold of the fridge.]

[He nods and starts tearing off more leaves.]

Maybe there's gonna be gold! Fairies have gold, don't they?

Do you really think it's gold? But why would you hide gold in a cold box?

[Diarmuid keeps tearing off leaves as he talks.]

Gold doesn't have to be kept cold, does it?

Maybe it's so the wrong people won't find it? Maybe it's a test for real heroes?

[He helps his brother tear off leaves.]

After all, some people would get scared by cold caves, right?
