[His voice had taken on a tired, idle tone--it was still late, after all, and this was one of the few nights that week Waver had even attempted sleeping.]

Yes, though I have to admit I think one partner is trying harder than the other to put someone to sleep.

[Diarmuid leans up and presses a kiss to the top of Waver's head.]

[And with that (which he'd probably call 'disgustingly sentimental' later, Waver seemed quite content with falling asleep in Diarmuid's arms.]
